Biography
Sofia joined English FA WSL club Chelsea Ladies in 2013. As part of the Swedish national team she has participated in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2012 Olympic Football Tournament. She started her career in 2006 by playing for Hagglunds IoFK before moving to Osters the following year. After a successful spell scoring 9 goals in 21 games Sofia entered the international stage the same year making her debut for Sweden’s Under-19 side against Kazahkstan. After a breakthrough year for Sofia the forward enjoyed a successful four-year stay at Umeå IK where Sofia won the Damallsvenkan and was a runner-up in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. In September 2011 she joined Russian champion WFC Rossiyanka.
